Sutro Project / Ebisu
Open for lunch and dinner, Ebisu is regarded by many as the best sushi restaurant in San Francisco.
Reservations are not available, but take-out is and the noodle/udon restaurant across the street (Hotei) is run by the same management, cheaper and considerably less crowded.
