Officially covering the area between City Hall and the Asian Art Museum and the UN Plaza down to Market Street, the CC generally includes everything from the Tenderloin to Hayes Valley - including Davies Symphony Hall, the Opera House and Herbst Theater

The governmental location attracts the politically polarized. Recent groups include same-sex marriage proponents and anti-government tea partiers - not mention ongoing anti-war efforts.

The annual Gay Pride Parade and Lovefest draw festive supporters of gay rights and electronic music - both at each :)
