While Buena Vista's much-touted claim to "America's First Irish Coffee" fails the obvious test for some (who brought the French kiss to America?), the cafe is uncommonly popular with tourists and locals alike.

Open early and late, and just off the Hyde Cable Car line at the west end of Fisherman's Wharf - BV makes it easy to enjoy America's Most Recent Irish Coffee :)
